How Framous works
Once a day, the game picks a single user at random. They have one hour to take a photo. Everyone else waits. When the winner posts, that photo becomes today’s Framous for the entire community.
If the winner skips or runs out of time, the game draws the next person from the pool. The day ends with one photo, or none.
FAQ
How is luck earned?
You start with one. You earn more each time you react to the day’s photo, refer a friend who signs up, or earn special grants from in-app events. Luck caps at 14 per user.
More luck means I’m more likely to win?
Yes. Your odds of being drawn each day are roughly your luck divided by the total luck across all eligible users. With 14 luck you sit at the top of the curve, but the draw is still random — most days, someone else gets picked.
What’s a Golden Ticket?
A one-time pass that guarantees you’ll be drawn as the winner for the next daily pick. Sold as a $999 in-app purchase and capped at one redemption per day across the entire user base — first to redeem wins the slot. Consumable: once used, it’s gone.
Why $999?
Because we wanted “guaranteed” to mean something.
I was chosen but missed the window. What happens?
The pick moves to the next person drawn. You lose a small amount of luck as a skip penalty, floored at 1. Tomorrow you start the day eligible again.
Do you keep my exact location?
No. We generalize GPS to city / region / country at upload time and discard the precise coordinates. Photos are also stripped of EXIF metadata before they leave your phone.
How is content moderated?
Every photo runs through Hive moderation before broadcast. Anything flagged for nudity, violence, CSAM, or hate is blocked from being posted. Users can also report any photo from the app and we’ll review within 24 hours.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. Your account is soft-deleted immediately (you’ll no longer appear in the pool or to other users) and hard-deleted 30 days later. Sign in again before then to cancel the deletion.
How do I report a photo or user?
In the app: Settings → Report a problem. Describe what you saw and submit. We review every report and respond within 24 hours. You can also email support@getframous.com directly.
I’m not getting notifications.
Open the Settings app → Framous → Notifications. Make sure notifications are allowed. Inside the app, go to Settings → Notifications and confirm the toggles are on. The “You’re it!” chosen notification can’t be turned off — if you’re selected, you’ll always be notified.
Can I change my profile photo later?
Yes. Open Settings and tap your avatar to update it. Past posts keep the avatar that was current when you posted them.
